A happy discovery this week: Chill Spot in Brentwood.

The neon “Bubble Tea” sign beckoned to me like a lighthouse to a sailor adrift on a foggy weekday sea of blandness. Once inside, I discovered a sizable menu featuring a variety of wraps, salads, specialties and snacks in addition to a bubble tea and smoothie selection so extensive that I had trouble choosing a flavor.

After finishing a hearty Santa Fe wrap, I enjoyed a delicious pineapple coconut tea with a generous helping of tapioca pearls. I’m told the Persian chicken wrap is not to be missed. Next time…
